Kelley Burzimati, daughter of John and Susan Burzimati of Cheshire, received her bachelor of science degree in nursing on May 13 from the College of Our Lady of the Elms in Chicopee, graduating magna cum laude.
She is currently a registered nurse at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield working in the telemetry department. At BMC she is occasionally a charge nurse and is active on the telemetry unit council.
Burzimati will be continuing her studies at the College of Our Lady of Elms pursuing a master's degree in nursing management and education.
She is a 2007 graduate of Hoosac Valley High School in Cheshire.
The following local students were awarded a degree at St. Lawrence University's Commencement ceremony, held May 19 on campus in Canton, N.Y.
Caleb S.E. Booth of Great Barrington was awarded a degree in geology. Booth graduated from Berkshire School in Sheffield.
Samuel L. Lane of Lenox was awarded a degree in environmental studies/chemistry combined. Lane graduated from Lenox Memorial High School.
Jacquelynn K. Lemme of Pittsfield was awarded a degree in economics/mathematics combined. Lemme graduated from Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown.
