College roundup: MCLA's Deb Raber earns 100th soccer win

NORTH ADAMS — MCLA women's soccer coach Deb Raber earned her 100th win at MCLA Wednesday night, as the Trailblazers beat SUNY Poly 2-0.

The game was the first-ever night game for the women's squad at Shewcraft Field, and the Trailblazers (2-2-2) handed Poly (7-1-1) its first loss of the year.

Kaylyn Holiday scored her first college goal in the 49th minute to break the tie. Natalie Caney added an insurance goal.

Megan Richardson had seven saves for her fourth shutout. She has not given up a goal in 210 minutes.

WILLIAMS MEN'S TENNIS

WILLIAMSTOWN >> The Williams men closed out their fall dual meet season beating Springfield 8-1. Williams finished the fall with a 2-0 record.

The Ephs swept the three doubles and won all but one singles match.

Williamstown's Rohan Shastri, playing No. 2 singles for Williams, beat Alex Romaine 6-2, 4-6, 10-8. Lee's Tanner DeVarennes, playing No. 1 singles for Springfield, lost to Brian Grodecki 6-0, 6-2.
