Colleges announce local graduates
Michaela Elizabeth Powers, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Powers of Raymond Drive, Dalton, graduated magna cum laude on May 19 earning a bachelor of science degree, with a double major in accountancy and health and industry and a minor in law.
Powers has accepted a position with BDO USA LLP in Boston as an assurance associate. She is a 2008 graduate of Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton.
Maureen Elizabeth Fields of Pittsfield was awarded a bachelor of science degree, magna cum laude, on May 19. Fields, an honors program graduate, majored in economics-finance and achieved a 3.71 cumulative average.
She was a four-year starter and two-year captain of the Bentley women's lacrosse team.
The daughter of James and Joan Fields, she is a 2008 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Fields has accepted a position at DDJ Capital Management in Waltham. Endicott College
Emily Jordan Harrigan, daughter of Timothy and Carolee Harrigan of Great Barrington, graduated May 19 with a bachelor of arts degree in history.
Lauren Grace Horth, daughter of James and Deborah Horth of Dalton, graduated May 19 with a bachelor of science degree in psychology.
Meghan Harris of Hinsdale graduated May 19 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is employed as a registered nurse by Berkshire Medical Center. Over the summer, she worked as a camp nurse at Camp Watitoh in Becket.
While at Endicott, Harris was a member of the Beverly Rotary Club, Rotaract Service Club and the Student Nurses Association.
She is the daughter of Peter Harris of Thomas Island Road, Pittsfield, and Patsy Harris of East Washington Road, Hinsdale, and graduated from Taconic High School in 2008.

Gilbert James Green, son of John and Jody Green of Williamstown, graduated May 19, with a doctor of osteopathy degree.
Dr. Green is a 1998 graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School, Williamstown, and a 2002 graduate of Trinity College, Hartford, Conn., where he majored in religion.
He will intern at Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio, followed by a residency in neurology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, N.H.
While completing his several medical school rotations, Green, his wife, Michelle Luetjen Green, and their three children, have resided in Western Massachusetts.
