Colorful flowers beat billboards
Deeding the property site for Berkshire Flower Co. to Brid get Brown would finish the question of, "Floral shop’s fu ture unsettled." (Eagle, Sept. 28).
I’m always pleased to drive by the shop throughout the seasons. Fresh trees at the year’s end, thoughts of romantic roses inside during bleak February, pansies line the outside tables in spring. This is a much nicer change than all of the billboard sign rotations to the south.
However, I must say that the yellow of Ms. Brown’s mums do nicely match that of the big yellow billboard down the street for a particular mattress store. I prefer the living billboard myself. Don’t you?
