Consult AG on gift certificates

In regards to receiving help for reimbursement for restaurant gift cards not honored by the Dakota Steakhouse, the Massachusetts attorney general’s office has a division that helps people get their rightful reimbursements.

In May of 2011, a major restaurant suddenly closed down on North Street in Pittsfield. I was left holding one of its restaurant gift cards. I tried many different ways to contact the owners and I did not receive that courtesy. I went on to the state attorney general’s website and contacted that office. I received excellent help, and I was fortunate to receive my reimbursement!
