A typographical error changed the meaning of a paragraph in the Feb. 19 letter to the editor "Burn more carbon, burn more life" by Bryan Hamlin of North Egremont. It should have read, "Of course modern technology leads us to discover more fossil fuel deposits in America and the ability to extract them. But [Matt] Kinnaman is totally wrong when he triumphantly claims that this trove of fossil fuel is going to provide us with an ever-expanding economy."
