County skaters have big days at Bay State Winter Games


WILLIAMSTOWN -- Berkshire County figure skaters came away with four more titles after Friday and Saturday's performances.

Daniel Pompi (Adams), Lauren Lampiasi (Clarksburg), Payton Wojtowski (Pittsfield) and Vincienza Alicandri (North Adams) all came away with first-place finishes in their respective divisions.

County skaters claimed another two top-three finishes with Aimee Boulais' and Brooke VanBramer's third-place results. Both are from Pittsfield.

Joulie Boulais (Pittsfield), Emily Daigneault (Adams) and Alicandri all came away with fourth-place results. Alicandri competed in two different events.

Other county skater results included Abby Coleman (Williamstown) and Ashton Goyette (Adams) taking fifth, Mackenzie Rougeau (Adams) was eighth and Natalie Pompi took ninth.

On the first day of competition, Stacey Tutela (Dalton) and Petrea Mannello (Williamstown) won their groups.
