Crowne Plaza stairs a big help

Posted
Wednesday January 23, 2013

For the past five years members of the Pittsfield Fire Department and our family and friends have been annually climbing the steps of the 42-floor floor Mellon Financial Center in Boston. We climb to raise awareness and funds for the American Lung Association. It’s a wonderful event called the ALA Race up Boston Place.

The team and I as team captain wish to thank the management and staff of the Crowne Plaza in Pittsfield for letting us train in their stairwell. Preparing for this sometimes arduous race/climb in the county’s largest building has helped us immensely. The staff at the Crowne Plaza has been very accommodating and supportive.
