Culinary feast has 5 chefs cooking

GREAT BARRINGTON -- In the spirit of collaborative inspiration, Berkshire Farm & Table is bringing five Hudson, N.Y.-based chefs to the Berkshires on Monday to present a five-course culinary feast.

Five Berkshire-based chefs took part in a similar event in Hudson on April 7.

"These events are all about generating exciting and fun events for guests and the host restauran," said Bjorn Somlo of Nudel in Lenox, a principal catalyst for the idea. "As business owners, we need to create more reasons for people to dine out in the off-season, to inspire chefs to reach out to new audiences and to celebrate what we have to offer."

On Monday, Allium Restaurant + Bar at 42/44 Railroad St. will host Hudson chefs Benjamin Freemole and John McCarthy III from The Crimson Sparrow; Hugh Horner of Helsinki Hudson; Jon Spoto and Chip Chiappinelli from Grazin' Diner; Jeff Gimmel of Swoon Kitchenbar; and Josephine Proul of Local 111 in Philmont, N.Y.

Dinner tickets will be available online via Eventbrite and a small service fee will apply.

Tickets will not be available at the restaurant.
