Dalton: Concert to benefit Senior Center


The Friends of the Dalton Senior Center announce that internationally acclaimed pianist and singer Tony DeBlois will perform a fundraising concert at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Senior Center, 40 Field Street Ext.

A free will donation will be taken at the door.

DeBlois, the subject of the 1997 CBS Hallmark movie, "Journey of the Heart" starring Cybil Shepherd, is a 37-year-old performer from Randolph who is blind, autistic and has Savant Syndrome.

In addition to the piano, DeBlois plays 19 other instruments and has well over 8,000 songs in his repertoire.

He has been featured on numerous national shows including The Learning Channel’s "Uncommon Genius" and "Understanding the Mysteries of Memory."

All proceeds from the concert will be utilized to support the programs and services of the Dalton Senior Center.
