Dalton: Lions Club plans fundraising events

The Dalton Lions Club announces a number of upcoming fundraising events for its sight, hearing and community programs.

New fundraisers include "Dining for a Cause" on Monday May 23, at 99 Restaurant, and a Flag of Honor Program.

The restaurant fundraiser requires a flyer which will be available from Lions members and Dalton businesses.

The flag program will honor those who have served or deceased loved ones. Flags purchased for $5 from Lions members or the Dalton CRA will be placed around the memorial fountain on the CRA lawn from Memorial Day to Flag Day.

Returning fundraisers include the ball booth at the Dalton Fair in June, the 24th annual Lions Club circus July 11 and 12 at the Dalton American Legion, and the Aug. 13 golf tournament at Bas Ridge Golf Course, Hinsdale.

The Lions Club is seeking new members. The club meets at the Dalton Restaurant bakery at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays from September to June.
