Dalton: Lions Club plans fundraising events

The Dalton Lions announce two new events benefiting its eye research and sight and hearing programs.

Ninety Nine Restaurant at 699 Merrill Road, Pittsfield, will host "Dining for a Cause" from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday, May 23. By presenting a "Dining for a Cause" coupon, the Lions will receive 15 percent from Ninety Nine to support its programs. Coupons can be found at stores in Dalton.

The "Flag of Remembrance" fundraiser will display flags bearing the names veterans or deceased loved ones on the CRA lawn from Memorial Day to Flag Day.

Flags can be purchased for $5 each at the CRA, Dalton General Store and Greenridge Variety.

The Lions meet at 6:30 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of each month on the bakery side of the Dalton Restaurant. No meetings are held in July and August. New members are welcome.
