Dalton road work worth aggravation

Tuesday September 18, 2012

I'd like to thank all the people involved in repairing Main Street in Dalton.

Many of us who live on and/or travel along Main Street moaned and complained about the inconvenience of all the trucks and so many workers causing traffic to barely creep through town. I watched those workers operating machinery, scoring the street, and laying new pavement in the heat of summer. They filled in potholes, put in new sidewalks where needed, and marked lanes and crosswalks.

Now that they have finished, I have to say they did one great job and we have definitely stopped complaining! I offer my sincere thanks for a job well done.
