Dalton: The Rev. Quentin Chin named interim pastor at FCC

Posted

The Rev. Quentin Chin began serving First Congregational Church as its interim pastor on Feb. 3. He succeeds the Rev. Dr. Alex Hunter who finished his tenure with the church in January.

Chin has served several congregations in Berkshire and Hampshire counties. He will serve the Dalton church as a part-time pastor.

Chin most recently served First Baptist Church of Pittsfield for the past two years and prior to that served United Methodist Church of Lenox.

Interim ministry, also known as transitional ministry, is a specialization. Clergy who specialize in this ministry work with congregations during their transition periods, typically between settled pastors.

Chin is a member of the United Church of Christ in Lenox, Church on the Hill. He is a bi-vocational pastor who also serves as part-time chaplain at Soldier On.
