Ed Schultz: Moving to weekend shows
NEW YORK -- Heartland liberal Ed Schultz is losing his prime-time show on MSNBC.
The cable network says that Schultz is being moved to the weekends, to host two-hour shows Saturday and Sunday at 5 p.m. Union advocate Schultz, whose nightly show preceded Rachel Maddow, has increasingly seemed out of place in MSNBC’s bookishly liberal lineup.
The network expects to name his weeknight replacement shortly.
Schultz said on his show that the new time slot gives him the chance to "get out with the people and tell their stories."
