Education notes: Connecting science and literacy forums in Berkshires
MCLA info night: Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will hold a graduate and transfer student admissions information night at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the Intermodal Education Center on Columbus Avenue in Pittsfield.
MCLA staff will be on hand to discuss the college's Professional MBA and Masters of Education programs, as well as to discuss the transfer process.

WRLF summer programs: The first of the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation's summer programs, "Art, Writing and Nature for 8 -11 year olds" will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at Sheep Hill in Williamstown.
The half-day weeklong program is led by art educator and artist Julia Morgan-Leamon. Through daily writing exercises, storytelling, drawing, and arts we will explore what it means to be a resident of the natural world. The first project will be making a handmade journal in which to write, draw and collect thoughts, images and discoveries.

Celebrate the Summer Solstice: Berkshire Co-op Market in Great Barrington will host its annual Summer Solstice Celebration from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Field in Great Barrington. The event is free to the public and will include a community flea market held by Berkshire Flea, local and healthy food options, live music with David Grover and others for kids and adults, a used clothing swap shop and a "Mini-Mudder" obstacle course for kids.

Get on S.U.P.: Berkshire Outfitters is sponsoring a free Stand Up Paddleboard (S.U.P.) clinic at 6 p.m. today on Cheshire Lake on Route 8 in Cheshire.
This watersport offers a full-body workout and the clinic is open to all levels and meant to offer an introduction to the equipment and techniques. Paddleboards will be provided. Bring shorts or wear a swimsuit, and wear water shoes.
