Egremont: Democrats to hold nominating caucus


The Egremont Democratic Committee will hold a nominating caucus at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at the North Egremont Town Hall, Route 71. Polls will be open for one hour.

The purpose of this caucus is to choose the candidates to support for the following town offices, for which elections will be held on Tuesday, May 10:

Assessor, one three-year term; Moderator, one one-year term, Town Clerk, one one-year term; Tree Warden, one one-year term; Selectman, one three-year term; Library Trustee, one three-year term; Cemetery Commissioner, one three-year term; Planning Board, one five-year term and one three-year term; Associate Planning Board, one two-year term.

All Egremont residents who are registered Democrats are encouraged to participate in the voting at this caucus.
