Letters related to the Tuesday, June 25 U.S. Senate election must be received at The Eagle by this Thursday, June 20.
Democratic Rep. Edward Markey and Republican Gabriel Gomez are squaring off to fill the vacancy opened by U.S. Sen. John Kerry when he became U.S. secretary of state. The winner will serve out the remainder of the term, which ends in 2014.
Writers are limited to one letter per 30-day period. All letters must include an address and telephone number for verification purposes. Writers should confine their letters to 400 words or less in length.
