Enjoyable story about Pranksters

Saturday July 6, 2013

To the editor of THE EAGLE:

Thank you for a wonderful story June 29 about making a wish come. It was heartfully written by Jenn Smith.

As a member of the Hassan Pranksters, I would like to tell you about our captain, Rose Loron. Our team is named after her dad, Henry W. Hassan Jr., who passed away in 1979 of cancer.

At the Relay For Life we had going a queen-size, hand-made quilt going, a dragon lamp ceramic welcome raccoon and a wine basket. Then there was our lovable Rusty, who was given to us by a wonderful neighbor, Nancy Cunningham. Every one of us fell in love with Rusty. We had 75 prizes for adults and children sold with a card of 25 tickets.

Rose sent a hand-written thank you to every business and person who gave gift certificates and gifts to let them know how much we raised.
