Equipment, tools stolen from Taconic High School construction site

PITTSFIELD — Pittsfield Police are investigating an apparent theft of equipment from the construction site of the new Taconic High School.

Three construction trailers, belonging to the on-site contractors, were broken into sometime between Monday night and early Tuesday morning, according to Pittsfield Police.

Various tools, power equipment and a generator were among the items reported missing, police said. The value of the stolen items was not known.

Construction on the $120.8 million project began in May and the school is expected to open in 2018.
