Florida: Mother’s Day program to celebrate seniors

Posted

Seniors from throughout Northern Berkshire are invited to a special Mother’s Day program with folksinger and storyteller Tim Van Egmond, who will perform a public concert at 12:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, at the Florida Senior Center. The program is sponsored by the Florida Council on Aging and the Friends of the COA.

Van Egmond’s program, "Hats Off To Seniors," celebrates the wit, wisdom, and spirit of seniors with tales and tunes. He accompanies himself on a variety of traditional instruments including guitar, hammered dulcimer and limberjack.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Northern Berkshire Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

The Senior Center is located on the Mohawk Trail opposite the Florida Baptist Church. For more information or to reserve a seat, call Donna at (413) 662-2811.
