Florida: Senior Center to host medical presentations
The Florida Senior Center will hold a series of free medical presentations throughout the month of October.
Adults of all ages, but seniors and caretakers, in particular, are invited. All presentations will allow time for audience questions and light refreshments will be served.
"Mammography and Bone Densitronomy as Preventive Screenings in the Fight Against Breast Cancer" will be presented by staff from North Adams Regional Hospital’s Medical Imaging Department at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 12.
Margie Ware of Berkshire Elder Care Services will address "Medicare Changes in 2013" at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19.
Vanessa Guess-Slaughter, admissions director of Sweet Brook Care Center, will speak on "Respite Care for Caregivers and Those in Their Care" at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22.
"Inpatient vs. Observation Status in the Hospital: Your Costs vs. Medicare Costs" will be presented by staff from the NARH Billing Department, Case Management, and Hospitalist Departments at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29.
