Football: Wahconah snaps Greylock's win streak
WILLIAMSTOWN - Despite a quick Ethan Ryan touchdown, Mount Greylock lost its first game in three years Friday night, falling 20-8 to Wahconah Regional.
Quarterback Lane Grogan had a hand in all three touchdowns for the Warriors. He threw for two scores and ran for another. The Mounties' Ethan Ryan was held to 99 yards as Greylock rushed for 119 yards on the night but had just the one touchdown to show for it. The Warriors threw for 196 yards, picking up a signature win that could be a preview of the county championship game in November.
Mount Greylock has won the last two Western Massachusetts Division III Super Bowl titles and was unbeaten in 33 straight games entering Friday's contest. Duxbury had won just as many and took sole possession of the state's longest winning streak by winning Friday.
