Four North Adams men arrested after early morning drug raid

NORTH ADAMS — Four local men were arrested Friday morning for a host of drug-related charges following the execution of a search warrant on West Main Street.

According to the North Adams Police Dept., Patrick Knight, Kurt Vosburgh, Ryan Murphy and Earnest Stanek were all arrested at about 5:50 a.m. on Friday.

Knight faces one count each of possession with intent to distribute a class A substance (heroin), possession with intent to distribute a class E substance (Alprazolem or Xanax) and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Vosburgh faces one count each of possession of a class B substance (crack cocaine), possession of a class E substance (Meloxicam), possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws and aiding or permitting a public nuisance.

Murphy faces one count of knowingly being present where heroin is kept while Stanek faces one count of possession of a class B substance (crack cocaine).

According to NAPD, the Berkshire County Drug Task Force and the State Police Special Tactical Operations Team executed a search warrant on a second floor apartment at 86 West Main Street. All four men were in the apartment.

Vosburgh is already facing drug possession charges from a raid on this same apartment in March. And, in fact, this is the third time the apartment has been raided within seven months. On Dec. 8, according to Eagle files, police raided the West Main Street apartment but found no drugs.

At that Dec. 8 raid, police warned Vosburgh that he was being surveilled.
