PITTSFIELD -- A 4-second win by the St. Joseph 400 freestyle relay team was the difference Friday, as the Crusaders edged Pittsfield's girls team 48-46.

The General boys won, 80-4 over the undermanned Crusader boys team.

With the score tied at 42 going into the final race of the dual, the Crusaders' Aileen Archambault, Mary Kirsimagi, Katie Nugai and Jessie Tobin edged out Pittsfield's Mollie Scott, Molly Elser, Mia Smith and Jessie Marsh, 4:15.57 to 4:19.16.

Tobin, Nugai and Archambault were also double winners for the Crusaders. Theresa Murphy and Hannah King each won a race for the Generals.

On the boys side, Aaron Coty qualified for Western Mass. in the 50 and 100 freestyle. This gives him four qualifying times this week, as he made the grade in the 100 fly and 100 back on Tuesday.

Also, Zach Williams qualified for Western Mass. in the 100 back, and Greg Fournier did the same in the 500 free.
