Ghent Playhouse Fanciful comedy slated

GHENT. N.Y. -- The Ghent Playhouse will present John Cariani’s comedy "Almost, Maine," opening Jan. 18 and running through Feb. 3.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Set in the mythical town of Almost, Maine, this comedy is told in 11 vignettes with five actors portraying 19 characters.

Cathy Lee-Visscher, the Playhouse’s artistic director, is directing this play about finding love on a cold midwinter’s evening.

Filling the roles of the 19 characters are Todd Hamilton, Mark Schane-Lydon, Prudence Theriault, Sarah Elizabeth Lomerson and Meaghan Rogers.
