Gingrich has Romney pegged

Friday November 2, 2012

In a July interview with Charlie Rose, former speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said that "Mitt Romney is the biggest liar that has ever run for public office!" Now, I am not a Gingrich fan, but I be lieve, in this case, that his as sessment of Romney is dead on.

He said this when they were competitors for the Republi can presidential nomination, not when they were "comrades in arms," as they pretend to be now. Newt knew the frustration of trying to determine exactly what, if anything, coming from the mouth of Mitt was true! Will the real Mitt Romney please stand up!

So why does Romney want to be the president? Why does he want to win so badly? Why would anyone with such sincere disdain for the 99 percent aspire to be the leader of the free world? Is it to undo Obamacare? Is It to erase the provision that allows children to stay on their parents’ health plan until the age of 26? Is it to reverse Roe v Wade and take women’s rights back 75 years? Is it to return our recovering economy back to 2008 when we were about to enter our second Great Depression? Is it to eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood or is it to erase the opportunity for thousands of young people to apply for Pell Grants, their one chance to get a college degree without selling their souls?

Maybe Romney wants to win so that we become what Ayn Rand describes in " Atlas Shrugged," a society where the rich succeed while sneering at the less fortunate, the "you’re on your own, buddy" philosophy!

President Obama is focused on building an economy that will provide all Americans a fair shot at middle-class security! There’s only one way that we can be certain that America will not be bankrupted, and that way is to move forward with President Barack Obama.
