Good neighbors respond to storm
I am a handicapped person who uses an electric wheelchair. I went out the day after the big snowstorm we got on the day before New Year’s. I was on my way down the driveway to go to the store and I got stuck at the bottom. John Turner from the shop across the street came over and shoveled out the snow at the bottom of the driveway so I could get out to the road because the sidewalks were still covered in snow.
On my trip back I had to get back up the driveway which is on a hill and couldn’t because my chair was spinning in the snow. Three gentlemen must have seen me struggling to get up the driveway and pulled over to assist me. The one who got to me the quickest pushed me up to my ramp so I was able to get back into my apartment.
I would like to thank John Turner and the three gentlemen who stopped to help me. There are people out there who care and will take the time to stop and help a handicapped person.
