GOP infested by greed, cynicism

Friday October 12, 2012

Whatever happened to the "Grand" in Grand Old Party? What happened to the brand of Republican leader who at least put their country first, even though one might have disagreed with their platform?

Moderate, sensible folks like Eisenhower, Rockefeller, Rob ert Lafollette, Jacob Javits, Speaker Joe Martin are long gone, replaced now by a scheming nest of self-serving, self-absorbed creatures, stuck like glue to their partisan talking points, incapable of summoning up any grand vision for our country. Propelled by greed, they are bent on de stroy ing our social programs -- the very social fabric that has made this country great. Worse still, they appear consumed with anger because a black man was elected president of the United States.

They are against everything -- the poor, children, minorities, the elderly, the sick, gays and on and on. And yet they call themselves Christians. This is not the party of Jesus Christ. It is the party of Scott Brown.

We need our Senate seat back to break the filibuster. Wake up Massachusetts. Vote for Elizabeth Warren.
