Great Barrington: Ahavath Sholom to host Jewish American music program

Posted

"I Have a Little Dreidel," a tribute to Jewish American music, will be presented at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 6, at Congregation Ahavath Sholom, 15 North St.

Guest speakers include Dr. Tamar Gordon and her father, Dr. Myron Gordon, who at the age of 95 produced a music CD of memorable tunes composed in the 1920s by his father, Samuel Goldfarb.

This family's effort to recover long-lost Jewish children's liturgical music by the composer of "I Have a Little Dreidel" will be told in words, music and images.
