Great Barrington bank robbery suspect, accomplice arrested after car accident in Connecticut
GREAT BARRINGTON — The suspect in Monday's bank robbery was apprehended after robbing a bank in Connecticut.
The arrest came just hours after a warrant was issued for his arrest in Great Barrington.
Great Barrington police issued a warrant on Wednesday for Sheridan's arrest in connection with Monday's robbery of Salisbury Bank at 210 Main St. Sheridan is wanted for Unarmed Robbery and Larceny over $250.
Eric Sheridan, of Danielson, Conn., was taken into custody along with his girlfriend and alleged accomplice Rachelle Winter of East Providence, R.I.
Sheridan and Winter were also being sought in connection with a robbery of the People's United Bank inside the Stop & Shop in Putnam, Conn., on Jan. 17.
According to the Great Barrington Police Department, the pair robbed a bank in Falls Village, part of the town of Canaan. After leaving the scene the pair crashed into a tree, sustaining injuries.
Sheridan and Winter are being treated in a hospital in Sharon, Conn.
