Great Barrington: BIFF to host community screening, brunch
The Berkshire International Film Festival is partnering with Dove to present a community screening of the new documentary short "Selfie" at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at the Triplex Cinema with a brunch hosted by Castle Street Cafe immediately following.
"Selfie" captures the journey of multiple generations of girls and their mothers in the Berkshires as they create a new type of selfie that celebrates their unique beauty.
The film’s director, Cynthia Wade, an Academy Award-winning filmmaker and BIFF Advisory Board member, will be in attendance with some of the women featured in the film.
Also being screened is the Sundance hit "Sepideh" about a young Iranian woman who wants to become an astronaut.
The film and brunch are free and open to the public. RSVP to at DoveEvents@edelman.com by Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Passes are now on sale for BIFF 2014 and can be purchased at www.biffma.org.
