Great Barrington: Brooklyn painter to deliver artist's talk

Brooklyn painter Robin Williams will deliver an illustrated artist's talk followed by a reception at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the Daniel Arts Center's Hillman-Jackson Gallery at Bard College at Simon's Rock.

Williams' works are featured in a solo exhibit titled "Trailing Off" on view at the college through Oct. 7. The exhibit is open to the public weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Williams paints scenes that are at once real and surreal, infusing her work with references to works from René Magritte's "Son of Man" to Milan Kundera's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" to Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland."
