Great Barrington: B’Shalom Chorale seeks singers for first season

Posted

Singers are invited to join B’Shalom Chorale of the Berkshires in its first season. The chorale, conducted by Jack Brown, rehearses from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays at Hevreh of Southern Berkshires, Route 23.

B’Shalom Chorale of the Berkshires aims to preserve the vast treasures of Jewish music through public performances to foster understanding and respect for the music and values within Jewish and interfaith communities. The Chorale is open to men and women of all faiths.

One must have a pleasant singing voice, the ability to stay on pitch and enjoy singing four-part music. Choral experience is preferred, but not necessary. The ability to read music is helpful, though not mandatory.

A concert is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 10.

Singers should RSVP with their voice part by calling Cantor Emily Sleeper Mekler at (413) 531-8706 or by emailing B’ShalomChoraleoftheBerkshires@gmail.com.
