Great Barrington: Cancer survivor to share her story

Posted

Berkshire Medical Center's "Women Facing Cancer" support group invites all who have been touched by cancer to join them for a special presentation at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at The Little Gallery, 137 Front St., Housatonic.

The talk, slideshow and exhibit titled "The Artful Warrior -- How painting helped me survive cancer," features the work of Andrea Feldman of Hinsdale.

A multiple cancer victim and survivor, Feldman shows how art can be used to transform the physical and emotional discomfort of treatment while dealing with a life-threatening illness.

The show is open to the public from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturdays through Sept. 28. The talk is free of charge. No RSVP is necessary. Information: Feldman at (413) 655-7766.
