Great Barrington: 'Chicken People' film screening

Friends and Trustees of the Great Barrington Libraries will hold a free screening of "Chicken People," a documentary about the competitive world of champion show chicken breeders, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Mason Library, 231 Main St.

The film follows the struggles and triumphs of real people and their chickens on the road to compete at the Ohio National Poultry Show, considered the Westminster of show chicken competitions.

The First Saturday Film Series begins with a free wine and cheese social at 7 p.m. Discussion and socializing follow the film.

The film is 83 minutes, not rated, and suitable for all ages.
