Great Barrington: Children's program explores 18th century

The Great Barrington Historical Society will present "Colonial Children, Life as Children Knew it in the 18th Century" for children ages 6-10 from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 16, at the Historical Society Museum at the Wheeler Farmstead on Main Street.

Participants will learn how children lived in Colonial America: what they ate; what they wore; how they learned; and what games they played.

Children must be accompanied by a parent. Participation is free but space is limited.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling the Society at 413-591-8702. Leave the name of the parent, number of children and telephone number.
