Tuesday March 19, 2013

The Community Land Trust in the Southern Berkshires will hold its annual meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 22, at First Congregational Church on Main Street.

The CLT board will present its newest project, a collaboration with the Sheffield and Egremont Land Trusts to ensure that Bow Wow Farm in Sheffield remains a working farm and affordable to a local farming family.

Guest speaker, Massachusetts Commissioner of Agriculture Greg Watson, will speak about "Shaping a New Agriculture: Food, Land and People."

The annual meeting is free to all CLT members and tickets for non-members cost $5 or five BerkShares at the door. To become a CLT member, bring $10 or 10 BerkShares and sign up at the meeting.
