Great Barrington: Flu clinics scheduled in South County


A collaboration of town and local heath organizations have announced a series of free flu clinics.

In addition to the flu vaccinations, two of the clinics will also offer free Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccinations for people planning on getting pregnant, who are pregnant, parents of infants, as well as their caregivers.

Clinic dates and times follow:

• Thursday, Sept. 29, 10 a.m. to noon, Housatonic Community Center, 1065 Main St. North, Housatonic; and 1 to 3 p.m., Claire Teague Senior Center, 917 Main St.

• Tuesday, Oct. 4, 9 to 11:30 a.m., Egremont Town Hall, 171 Egremont Plain Road; 4 to 6 p.m., Great Barrington Town Hall, 334 Main St.

• Wednesday, Oct. 12, 4 to 7 p.m., Fairview Hospital Small Conference Room, 29 Lewis Ave. (Flu and Tdap)

• Thursday, Oct. 13, 4 to 7 p.m., Fairview Hospital Small Conference Room (flu and Tdap).

Although there are no out of pocket charges for the vaccines, those with insurance are asked to bring their insurance cards.
