Great Barrington: Guitar raffle to benefit WCBR-LP community radio

Monday October 8, 2012

A $3,500 custom-built Nikita "Kintia" guitar is being raffled to benefit WCBR-LP 97.7 Community Radio. The drawing will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 8 p.m. during the radio program, "Common Sense Songs."

Only 2,000 tickets are being sold for this hand-crafted guitar built by guitar maker James Mellozzo. Mellozzo, known as the Frank Lloyd Wright of the guitar world, has never reproduced the same guitar twice.

Tickets cost $5 or five for $20 and are available from Tune Street, The Music Store, and WCBR Studio, 37 Rosseter St., in Great Barrington; Toonerville Trolley in Williamstown; and Wood Bros. and Berkshire Music School in Pittsfield.
