Great Barrington: Lecture series features top economists
Three prominent economists will present free lectures at the American Institute for Economic Research, Stone House Ballroom, 250 Division St.
Each lecture begins at 4 p.m. and includes refreshments and light hors d'oeuvres. They will be part of AIER's second annual Distinguished Speaker Series.
Graciela Chichilnisky, an economics professor at Columbia University and co-founder of the carbon-capture-and-use company Global Thermostat, will present "Surviving Extinction" on Monday, July 25. She will discuss how the private sector can address climate change.
David C. Colander, professor of economics at Middlebury College, will speak on "Two Years into ObamaCare — Some Thoughts on Health Care Reform" on Monday, Aug. 1.
Paul A. London, chief economist at the Stern Group Inc. in Washington, will speak on "Brexit in its Post World War II Context" on Monday, Aug. 15.
