Great Barrington: ‘The Aging Brain’ to explore memory loss


In partnership with Home Instead Senior Care, the Claire Teague Senior Center will offer a program that addresses memory loss and aging.

"The Aging Brain" will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the Senior Center, 917 Main St.

Dr. Jay Ellis and Bobbie Orsi, MS, RN, will explore memory loss through an interactive discussion of the brain: how memory is formed, how memory loss occurs, and how to identify when forgetting is not normal.

There will be discussion about the benefits of early detection, risk factors, available treatments, and the importance of caring for the caregiver.

Registration is required by Aug. 4 by calling the Senior Center at (413) 528-1881.
