Great Barrington: MMRHS to perform winter concert

The Monument Mountain Regional High School Music Department will hold its annual Winter Concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14, in the Kathleen McDermott Auditorium.

The concert will feature the chorus under the direction of Julie Bickford, the orchestra led by Juraye Moran, and the Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble directed by Jeffrey Stevens.

The chorus will be performing music by Mozart and Stephen Foster, as well as traditional and holiday selections. The Jazz Ensemble will play music by Clifford Brown, Duke Ellington, Buddy Miles and Antonio Carlos Jobim.

Finally, the Concert Band will perform music by Gustav Holst, Percy Grainger, as well as "Sleigh Ride" and "Christmas Festival" by Leroy Anderson.

The concert is open to the public and admission is free.
