Great Barrington: New classes forming at Senior Center

New art and craft classes are forming at the Claire Teague Senior Center, 917 Main St.

Eunice Agar will lead a drawing class beginning Thursday, March 3, at 12:30 p.m. All levels of ability are welcome. The class will begin with a series of drawing exercises and the course will be developed to suit students' interests and skills.

The cost is $5 per class plus a one-time materials fee of $7. Bring any drawing materials you may already have.

Polly Mann will be offering a second basket making workshop beginning Thursday, March 17, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The project is a bread basket.

The course will run each Thursday until all baskets are completed (2-3 sessions). Cost for the supplies is $12 per person.

Decorative arts instructor Liz Macchi will lead a craft class from 1 to 3 p.m. Mondays in March. A variety of crafting projects will be offered for $10 or less per class. All supplies and instructions are included.
