Great Barrington: New York painter to exhibit at Bizalion’s

An opening reception for an exhibit of recent works by painter Alexa Saxton Thomas, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at Bizalion’s, 684 Main St.

The artist’s work is heavily influenced by nature in all forms. She was trained as a fine arts painter at the Rhode Island School of Design and has lived, worked and held shows in places such as Rome, Paris, Boston and New York where she currently resides.

Having overcome cancer at a young age, Saxton Thomas will set aside 10 percent of her proceeds for the creation of an educational preventative health non-profit organization to educate women and their families about health, exercise, mindset, and the natural world.
