Great Barrington: Nutrition program addresses eating behavior

Posted

Fairview Hospital will present "Eating With Awareness: An effective way of changing eating behavior," an eight week program held at 6 p.m. Thursdays beginning March 3 in the Conference Room at Fairview.

Registered dietician Robert Hoechster of Fairview's Outpatient Nutrition Services will facilitate the program.

Eating With Awareness uses mindfulness meditation, eating exercises, instruction, self-reflection and group discussion to cultivate awareness and help repair the relationship an individual has with food.

This program is not a clinic for active eating disorders and is not focused only on weight loss.

A fee of $100 is charged for the program.

For more information or to register, Hoechster at 413-854-9661.
