Great Barrington: One-woman play to address dating violence prevention

Friday March 1, 2013

Monument Mountain Regional High School and the Berkshire District Attorney’s Office will present "The Yellow Dress," a dating violence prevention play, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, in the high school auditorium.

The program is for students in grades 8 to 12, parents and community members.

The one-woman play is based on true stories of victims of domestic violence. The play raises awareness about healthy and unhealthy relationships and helps to identify the early warning signs of dating violence.

The event is free and will include a raffle of several dinner and movie theater gift certificates.

Information: Marianne Young, MMRHS principal, at (413) 528-3346, or Carol Mulcahy, director of Community Outreach & Education at the Berkshire DA’s office, (413) 443-5951.
