PITTSFIELD -- Great Barrington police are continuing to search for Ciro Reyes-Palma who failed to show up for the final day of his rape and abuse trial on Monday in Berkshire Superior Court.

"It's an ongoing investigation," said Great Barrington Police Investigator Joseph O'Brien. "We are using all available methods to track him down."

A Berkshire Superior Court warrant has been issued for the 41-year-old suspect who was supposed to appear in court for the final day of his trial on 11 charges, including multiple counts of child rape with force, for allegedly molesting a young girl in Great Barrington over the course of three years, beginning in the spring of 2009.

Reyes-Palma is originally from Mexico and still has ties to that country. He was out on $10,000 bail at the time of his disappearance.

O'Brien said that they weren't sure whether Reyes-Palma was still in Berkshire County.

The investigator said that anyone who might know of Reyes-Palma's whereabouts or may have seen him is asked to call the Great Barrington police department at (413) 528-0306.
