Great Barrington: Skin and wound care program offered
Fairview Hospital will offer a free, community education program titled "Take Care of the Skin You’re In! Keeping Your Skin and Feet Healthy" at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, in the Conference Room at Fairview Hospital.
The program will be presented by Tammy Flynn, community educator, and Karen Carson, RN, both from the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine.
The program will include information on disorders that can prevent the body’s ability to heal as well as specific topics including the effect of diabetes on healing, causes of skin infection and prevention tips.
The program will also include information on other disorders of the veins and arteries that can prevent the body’s ability to heal.
