Great Barrington: Solarize Great Barrington/Egremont program plans public information meeting


The next public information meeting on the Solarize Great Barrington/Egremont program will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday March 2, at the Mahaiwe Theater.

The event, titled "Meet the Installer," will feature a presentation from RGS Energy, the firm chosen to provide photovoltaic solar energy systems at a reduced tiered pricing structure through the state-run Solarize Mass program.

RGS Energy will present specifics on their pricing, their company and the process of signing on. They will also speak to the low cost and no-cost options available through the program.

In addition, a representative from the Center for EcoTechnology will provide information on their assessment program to reduce energy use and promote energy efficiency.

Weekend residents of Egremont and Great Barrington as well as those who attended the first meeting are encouraged to attend as new information and updates will be featured in the presentations. A question and answer period will follow.
